Donations Manager

Department:   Donations Department 

Responsible to: CEO 

Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon – Fri) *Must be flexible 

Salary: £24k – £27k Depending on Experience

Contract: Permanent

The Role: To provide administrative and strategic development to aid the process of donor care management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a framework of operations, standards and processes that facilitate a streamlined process of donation processing and donor care management. Additionally to be responsible for giving financial and statistical clarity on income amounts and donation trends periodically with a heavy focus on data analytics. The aim is to lead the department in maintaining donors, nurturing the donor’s ongoing support, building trust and rapport and providing insights to help the fundraising and marketing endeavours and ultimately drive business decisions.

The Role: The post holder will be responsible for raising and growing revenue, will design and implement a sustainable development strategy to increase philanthropic revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK including community groups, outreach networks, partners and individuals. They will mentor and lead a team of fundraisers and volunteers to achieve ambitious revenue and renewal goals year over year while delivering excellent stewardship experiences for our supporters.

Fundraising and Outreach Officer (Manchester Based)

Official Job title: Fundraising and Outreach Officer 

Department:  Fundraising  

Responsible to: Fundraising Manager & CEO 

Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon – Fri). 

Location: Manchester – Oldham Office (expected to travel for outreach work). Must be flexible with a willingness to work weekends, evenings and during campaigns and busy periods. 

Purpose: The Fundraising and outreach Officer will be responsible for assisting the Fundraising Manager in developing fundraising activities and outreach activities in Manchester and the North, as per the set objectives and targets agreed in Human Aid’s Strategic Plan and annual teamwork.  

The Role: The Fundraising and Outreach Officer role is an exciting opportunity to use your initiative and creativity to help us develop and improve our strategies, as well as work on a fun yet challenging projects all year round with objectives and targets agreed in Human Aid’s Strategic Plan. As part of the role, you would be expected to reach out to build, nurture and maintain relationships with potential funders and stakeholder groups in Manchester and the North. This demanding and varied role requires a committed and responsible person. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the office administration. Three key skills stand out within this position: Sales skills, project management and should also demonstrate excellent relationship skills with a strong contact base in the community in order to generate leads. Leadership and motivational qualities are also essential as developing a volunteer network will be key to the growth of the region.
